Assassin's Creed Introduces Unexpected AoT Collaboration for Holiday Season
In a unexpected partnership that challenges usual expectations, Ubisoft has unveiled an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Questline Uncovered
According to the authorized release, "A strange confrontation draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where hints of prohibited practices and fearsome changes resonate through the darkness." The storyline introduces a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a hidden sect.
The mission centers on "bizarre experiments and a monstrous adversary" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Iconic Places and Changes
The trailer showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser concludes with a striking moment showing a character, probably the captive, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Prizes and Bonus Features
Players who successfully complete the mission will receive an special katana in addition to several items hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
