Fantastic $30 Map-Making Software Bundle Represents a Virtual Tabletop GM's Dream

After a short availability back in April, the Map Making Mega Bundle has returned with an encore available through early December. Described as an extensive collection of mapping tools created by a specialized software company throughout their history, the entire collection is valued at more than thirteen hundred dollars. Additionally, there exist three different bundles available here.

Primary Feature

The big draw is certainly permanent access for Campaign Cartographer 3+, a professional-grade cartography program that can be used to create everything from fantasy overworld maps, detailed regional charts, urban layouts, and most notably, tactical combat environments.

Package Levels

Entry Level

The cheapest bundle tier, at a minimum cost of $1, includes only four from the thirty-nine available products: Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland, Token Treasury: Monsters 1, Castle Source Maps, and Source Maps: Cities!. This package suits cartographers who already have CC3+, but it does offer new fantasy symbol styles for overworld maps, more than 750 monster tokens for use in virtual tabletops, over twenty-five top-down castle layouts with 470 associated map tokens, eight fully mapped cities, and more than 70 urban floorplans.

Mid-Range Option

The eight-item bundle for at least $15 is where things get more interesting through inclusion of permanent CC3+ access, Cartographer's Annual Vol 1, Ultimate Mapping Guidebook, Isometric Cities Symbol Pack. The Annual represents the annual collection from ProFantasy's long-running monthly subscription service featuring multiple CC3+ enhancements including map packs and additional utilities. The Isometric Cities enables present urban areas in 3D perspective using angled views from all sides. Meanwhile, the Mapping Tome comprises 760 pages for beginners and "power users" alike, full of tips and tutorials for the map-making process.

At thirty versus fifteen dollars, the complete collection is so worth it, especially for cartographers who have only the annual CC3+ license seeking permanent licensing. But it's obviously more advantageous for cartography beginners considering you even get introductory guides to facilitate learning. The sole limitation though the purchase is available across platforms, the software is only usable on Windows.

Charitable Component

Similar to previous bundles, part of every purchase supports charitable organizations. In this instance, that's Save the Children, established in 1919 by Eglantyne Jebb focused on improving the lives of children worldwide through education, health care, and emergency relief.
